CCS & CCU Congress 2025 to Be Held in Warsaw This December. Two Days of Dialogue on Decarbonisation and the Future of Industry
On 2–3 December 2025, Warsaw will host the CCS & CCU Congress 2025 – “How to Decarbonise While Maintaining Industrial Competitiveness.” The event is one of the key regional forums dedicated to carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCS/CCU) technologies and their role in Poland’s industrial and energy transition.
We are pleased to announce that the CCUS Poland Association has assumed the role of Supporting Patron of this year’s Congress, organised by powermeetings.eu in strategic partnership with Holcim Polska – a supporting member of the Association.
Over the course of two days, experts from Poland and abroad will explore vital topics related to decarbonisation strategies, CCS project financing, regulatory challenges, business models, social communication, and collaboration between industry and public administration.
Among the speakers will be representatives of government, industry, academia and international organisations, including the Ministry of Climate and Environment, KGHM Polska Miedź, ORLEN, Grupa Azoty, GAZ-SYSTEM, Equinor, Bellona Europa, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Members of CCUS Poland—both ordinary and supporting—will also play an active role in shaping the event’s discussions. Their representatives will take part in panel debates, thematic sessions and moderations, contributing to the ongoing dialogue on the development of the CCUS market in Poland and across Europe. A presentation entitled “Strategy: Poland, Europe, the World” will be delivered by Dr. Paweł Gładysz, President of the CCUS Poland Association, together with Michał Wendołowski of Bellona Europa (an ordinary member of the Association) and Kamil Wyszkowski of the United Nations Global Compact Network Poland.
The Congress will serve as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, cross-sector collaboration and dialogue among academia, industry and public institutions—fostering partnerships and innovation in the pursuit of a low-emission economy.
Further information and the full conference programme are available on the organiser's website.
