4th Clean Coal Day International Symposium in Tokyo this September
On 9–10 October 2025, the Baltic Carbon Forum 2025, organised by BASRECCS, will take place at the Radisson Blu Olympia Hotel in Tallinn. The event focuses on supporting and accelerating the development of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technologies in the Baltic Sea region, providing a platform for dialogue between experts, public authorities, the business sector, and academia.
This year’s conference features several thematic sessions relevant to the region. The opening session will address the current state of CCUS development in the Nordic and Baltic areas, highlighting both technological capabilities and examples of implemented projects. The second session — on regulatory frameworks and public perception — will serve as a forum for discussing policy, legislation, and the influence of public opinion on the sector’s progress.
As part of this session, Paweł Gładysz, President of the Board of CCUS Poland, will deliver a presentation entitled “CCUS Markets and Regulatory Developments in Poland.” His contribution will provide insights into the current market and regulatory conditions in Poland, offering valuable context for conference participants.
The programme also includes presentations on potential CO₂ storage sites in the region, geological analyses, and the experiences of countries that have already deployed CCUS projects. In addition, financing mechanisms — both EU and private — will be discussed, giving participants a practical overview of options for cross-border project implementation.
