We invite you to the 4th edition of the Europe CCUS & Hydrogen Decarbonisation Summit in Brussels at the beginning of October.
On 7–8 October 2025, the 4th Europe CCUS & Hydrogen Decarbonisation Summit will take place at the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place. The conference is dedicated to the development of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technologies, as well as hydrogen technologies, both of which play an increasingly important role in Europe’s energy transition. The event brings together representatives of public authorities, industry, academia, and sectoral organisations, providing a forum to address key issues and exchange experience across sectors.
This year’s programme focuses on topics that may determine the pace and effectiveness of low-carbon technology deployment in Europe in the coming years. Planned sessions will address financing and bankability of CCUS projects, which require significant capital investment and stable legal frameworks to be implemented on a large scale. Cross-border cooperation will also be discussed, as it is crucial for the creation of shared CO₂ transport and storage infrastructure between countries, enabling more efficient use of resources and cost reduction. A significant part of the agenda is dedicated to integrating hydrogen technologies into Europe’s energy network, as well as the role of seaports as hubs for the handling of hydrogen and captured CO₂. Discussions will also cover the development of a circular economy, in which captured carbon dioxide becomes a feedstock for industry.
During the second session of the conference, “Energy Transition Final Investment Decision Panel Discussion”, scheduled for 12:40 on the first day, Paweł Gładysz, President of CCUS Association Poland, will take part as a panellist. This will be an opportunity to present Poland’s experience in making investment decisions for energy transition projects and to exchange views with experts from other European countries.
Members of CCUS Association Poland are eligible for a special registration discount code. Details are available by contacting the Association’s office: biuro@ccuspoland.org.
